Let’s welcome Minnie Warren, the author of multiple Christian novels, including Finding Home, Before We Found Home, Where Grace Leads, The Secrets We Bury, What the River Kept, and The Silence After Amen.
We’re happy to have you join us today, Minnie!
1. Please describe your journey to becoming a Christian novelist.
My writing journey grew from a desire to tell emotionally honest stories that acknowledge hardship while still making room for hope, grace, healing, and redemption. I write faith-centered fiction because I want readers to see characters facing difficult choices and real consequences without losing sight of the possibility of growth and restoration.
2. How did you come up with the ideas for your novels?
I’m drawn to relationships, family, belonging, secrets, forgiveness, and the difficult decisions people make when life does not unfold as expected. Those themes have shaped both my Finding Home series and my suspense-oriented stories. I begin with people and circumstances that feel emotionally real, then build the story around the choices those characters must make.
3. How do you typically incorporate faith into your stories?
I try to weave faith naturally into the characters’ lives rather than treating it as an interruption to the story. Prayer, forgiveness, grace, accountability, and trusting God during uncertainty become part of how characters wrestle with their circumstances and decide what to do next.
4. What do you find most challenging about being a writer?
Maintaining consistency while developing characters and storylines is important to me. I want every chapter to move the story forward without unnecessary filler or repetition, while keeping the emotional and faith elements genuine.
5. What do you enjoy most about writing?
I enjoy creating characters readers can care about and giving them journeys that can entertain while also encouraging reflection. It is especially meaningful when a story can leave someone thinking about grace, family, forgiveness, or hope after the final page.
6. How do you find time to write?
I approach writing with intention and keep returning to the work until the story is complete. I value consistency, careful editing, and giving each project the attention it needs.
7. Do you have a new novel in the works?
Yes. I continue developing faith-based fiction that combines compelling women-centered stories with mystery, suspense, emotional
depth, and meaningful themes of faith and redemption.
8. When you’re not writing, how do you like to spend your time?
I value family, learning, serving others, and creative work. Those parts of life continually give me new perspectives on people, relationships, resilience, and the kinds of stories I want to tell.
